VILAS INTRODUCATION

THE VIETNAM LABORATORY ACCREDITATION SCHEME (VILAS)

Vietnam Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (VILAS) is one of accreditation schemes of BoA:
•    Organization and operation conform with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17011:2017
•    Assessment criteria: ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and supplementary requirements for each specific scope
•    Full member and signatory of Mutual Recognition Arrangement with 
o    Asia Pacific  Accreditation Cooperation (APAC)
o    International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC)
Up to now, over 1200 laboratories have been accredited.
Benefit of Laboratory Accreditation 
•    To upgraded the competence of laboratory on  technical and management aspects
•    To ensure the correctness and reliability of testing/calibration
•    To facilitate the recognition of testing/calibration results
•    To integrate the laboratory accreditation activities of Vietnam with those of regional and international countries.
